OK, let me set the scene... You are getting ready to paint the room. The furniture is moved out of the way and the Dropclothes are down. You start taking off the electrical Switch & Outlet cover plates and as usual you get to one that seems loose. Then you take off the cover plate and find this... Either the Plaster is bad or the Drywall was over-cut and Whether it is Bad Plaster or Over-cut Drywall, the problem is the same. It needs to be repaired. But, you don't have 2 HOURS to turn off the power & fix it with tape & mud. So, you just do a quick patch and hope it will hold. But, you know it won't. The next plug in will break it. There must be a better solution! There is, but first... Who am I? Hi, my name is Paul Zemit and I've been a Painting & Decorating Contractor for 30 years in the Chicago Area. I am also a US Patent Holding Inventor. I just need to figure things out. We can see here as whith the switch, there is a lot of missing plaster around the Outlet. And we need to get plaster under the "ears" so that it seats properly on the wall. |
